BMOA schedules 5 mandatory meetings throughout the season to provide clear and uniform interpretation of the NFHS rules and review any current issues. We’ll discuss on-court mechanics utilizing electronic game reviews and answer any questions you may have.
We administer the National Federation examination prior to the season, which you must pass to officiate at the high school level. A passing grade of 75 is required. The State Interpretation online and the state test are taken through Dragonfly. You must register through MPSSAA and pay $40 to the state before doing the interpretation and Test. Insurance is $34 for the season, available from MPSSAA when submitted with the BMOA group.
BMOA Membership dues are $60 and include a donation to the facility we use, rule books, evaluation process, end-of-year banquet, and the running of the organization.
The uniform (shown below) is gray with a black pinstripe shirt, black pants, black official shoes, and a black pre-game jacket for school games. Black and white striped shirts are worn for recreational games.
